The wagering requirement is the multiple of the bonus (or the bonus plus deposit) you have to play through before any winnings become withdrawable. Published as 'Nx'. A €100 bonus with 35× wagering is €3,500 of required play.
Read it before you deposit. Not after.
The worked example
Deposit €100, get €100 in bonus funds, wagering at 35× on the bonus alone. That is €3,500 of play the account owes before any bonus winnings can leave.
At €5 per spin — the standard max-bet cap during bonus play — that is 700 spins. At €1 per spin, 3,500. At €0.50 per spin, the hostile cap some casinos apply, 7,000.
The bonus itself is not the question. The question is whether you will hit that spin count before you run out of money, time, or interest.
The trap the number hides
The 35× is applied to one of two bases. The phrase that follows the multiplier decides which:
- 35× on bonus — you owe 35 × bonus_amount. For a €100 bonus, that is €3,500.
- 35× on deposit + bonus — you owe 35 × (deposit + bonus). Same headline number, twice the commitment.
The industry drift over the past two years has been from 'on bonus' toward 'on deposit + bonus' without matching increases in headline generosity. If the T&Cs do not say 'on bonus amount only', assume the combined base and do the math on that.
What to check before the deposit
- The multiplier. 30× is generous. 35× is standard. 50× and above is a math problem.
- The base. 'On bonus' vs 'on deposit + bonus'. Doubles or halves the commitment.
- The max-bet cap while wagering is active. €5 is standard. Below €3 is hostile.
- The time limit. 30 days is standard. 7 days is a forfeit.
If any one of those is bad, the bonus is not the deal it looks like.
