How the 100 points break down
The weight per dimension.
Payout speed
24h average → 25 pts. 48h → 18. 72h → 12. 96h → 6. 7d → 0. Anything over 7d gets the casino removed from the shortlist, full stop.
Bonus terms
Wagering scale: 25× on bonus → 20 pts. 35× on bonus → 15. 35× on deposit+bonus → 8. 50× anything → 4. Max-bet under €5 while wagering active → −5 penalty.
License & operator history
MGA / UKGC current → 15. Curaçao GCB current → 12. Curaçao current with prior revocation → 8. Kahnawake → 10. Anything else, or anything stale → 0.
Cash-out experience
Three test withdrawals at three amounts. KYC clarity, document re-request count, support response time on hold. Heavily subjective — annotated in every review.
Game library breadth & weighting
Live dealer roster, provider count, jackpot weighting on wagering. Heavy slot bias with no live → caps at 6. Balanced library with three or more live providers → 10.
Deposit ease
Methods, min deposit, KYC trigger point, instant credit. Anything that asks for ID before first deposit → maximum 3.
Mobile parity
Same game library, same cashier, same support. iOS Safari + Android Chrome both checked. PWA is a bonus, not required.
Responsible-gambling tooling
Deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion, reality checks. Required for licensing. Bonus points for one-click cool-off.
Final score is the sum divided by 20. So a casino at 92/100 gets a published rating of 4.6. Anything below 70/100 (3.5/5.0) doesn’t go on the site.
Out-of-Cycle Re-Tests
What triggers a re-score.
Payout test fails (over 7 days)
Casino dropped from shortlist immediately. Removal note added to review.
Bonus T&Cs change mid-cycle
Bonus pulled from /casino-bonuses within 24h. Casino re-scored at month-end.
License revoked or lapsed
Casino removed within 24h regardless of all other scores.
Three or more reader complaints in a month
Out-of-cycle re-test. Direct contact with the operator first.
Operator changes ownership
Full re-test. Score resets to provisional until next cash-out.
The Annual Audit
Commission-only ranking, published in December.
Once a year, in mid-December, I run the same shortlist through a commission-only ranking and publish it next to the actual ranking.
If the two lists match, the methodology is broken and I’m taking the site offline until it’s fixed. In four years of running this exercise, the lists have never matched. The top commission earners almost always sit between rank 4 and rank 8.
The most recent audit is in the December 2025 archive. The next one publishes December 2026.
